Looks like you were comparing the engine itself to me.

The graphics are pretty poor. I'd personally rather play a game that looked like wc3. At least it has style and looks good for it's graphics. This game looks so bare and ugly.
hehe What I meant by best engine, was the massive collection of features. XD
For instance, fps mode (Yes, First person shooter mode. Even for the planes and tanks as well.), custom UI, user codes, extremely useful camera styles, deformable terrains, dynamic water (with real waves caused by ships), massive maps, a great physics engine for exploding units, there are almost always people in the lobby, etc. Oh, and freaking huge nukes in some games.
And, the graphics don't really look bare.
The pics you see on the site look bland, because of the map, I am assuming. This is because they chose desert and barren (Tatooine, Hoth, etc) places to look more like Star wars. The only person who actually picks the maps, is the user. There are many sites that provide a huge selection of maps. Plus, the Spring engine installer comes with a pack of nice maps.
While this rather small map looks very bare,
And this one looks rather bare as well,
But really, this one and ones like it, are not to bad.
And, I do remember another one, I can't find it though. It had so many freaking plants, it was hard to get around in it. XD And, none of the plants looked like clones. It's not like WC3 where there is a large set of trees that look the same, and look like you could totally walk through. With this map, it was shrubs and other random crap everywhere.
Of course, in some levels, the trees can be destroyed if they are run over. XD
EDIT: And I am sorry, but, really? This building does not look bare... XD
