The process of moonwalking is moving your feet backwards one at a time. Therefore, if you were to trip, however hard it may be, considering the foot that is actually moving is flat on the ground, you would be falling backwards, I would assume.

umm moonwalking you should never fall period, unless you trip over something.
you can fall forwards if you slip.

If you are extremely uncoordinated as I'm guessing most of you are at this site then the possibility of falling is there, and even more so of falling backwards. If you are not mentally retarded falling would be impossible during moon walking UNLESS you trip over an object or somehow completely slip and you end up in a split position.

Also when moon walking you are leaning forward a bit this enables you to slide your flat foot back... so again falling forward is a real possibility if you are super uncoordinated.

Kid, the point is that if you're walking forward and you trip, you fall forward. The momentum you're carrying with your body would continue to move and would propel your body forward. In theory, the same thing would happen if you were walking backwards. The momentum you carry would propel your body forward (or in this case backward, although it is forward because you always move forward) and you would trip forward (or in this case backward).

Understand?
