There is one thing that could make this possible but I am not sure.
The strings in WC3 are saved in "TRIGSTR_000" (as variables seems to me). If you can change that variable and the hero would update his name after that... it might be possible.
But I never used those strings before so I can't say that this actually works.
otherwise. save experience, items ect ect.
Create a dialogue with as many buttons as you want your hero to be named. create one hero for each button and delete/create/set experience/load and give items ect ect.
But actualy typing a name and give it to your heros ... well not sure about that.
OR: (and if you do that you are a god),
-create one button for each letter and ... have fun with the if/then/else triggers.
-Also you have to create one hero for each potential name (dsfkekdbnf and kjfezrksd included)
