My videocard is not bad.

Warcraft 3 B.net White TD (Last levels) - LOWEST FPS: 10 (Xfire)
Call of duty 4: Modern Warfare Multiplayer - LOWEST FPS: 83 (Xfire)

Both games we're run with highest textures settings and both on 1204x768 resolution.

Heh? I could screenshot it the next time , but what is going ON HERE!!!?!?!

Then stop playing both at the same time ^^

No seriously, everyone has that, your fast computer has to coop with slower computers so it'll be sloow.

White TD probably isn't optimized very well. I've seen badly-optimized maps dragging normal computers down to less than 1 frame-per-second.

Mh, k.

I thought because War3 is just an old game it doesn't really know how to run it or something but ok.

I think it's no big deal anyway and probably could just be the map or the game. I also remember that other people were talking about the game being laggy or fps being low and all...

It runs CoD4 on 83.. im happy with that rofl

CoD4 is less cpu intensive than wc3? I've seen many cases where the gpu is "waiting" for the cpu... And vice versa (in the case of Tiberium wars, the gameplay is slowed down 3x because my videocard can't handle the game on max gfx. I think the shaders in that game are poorly optimised...)

I don't have problems on any of those 2 games. Although I don't really play that specific map.

The weird part with games like C&C3 (especially with my computer) is that I can run it on Medium-High in the beginning, but after some time (and Campaign missions) my computer becomes so slow that I had to put the graphics on Low-Medium.

I hope it doesn't occur with my RA3 game, got Medium-High there too.

Weird aint it?

Yeah i also had some experiences with my old computer like that, first i had WoW on a pretty nice resolution and everything pretty high and suddenly it just flipped on that setting from one point and i had to get everything down. (Especially when for entering shattrath and storwind etc.)

Not that WoW is a very good example but, it's the same idea i think.

Maybe it's just dust...

And as for you having no problems with War3, i don't have problems with running war3 either but just that TD's are well known for spamming shit loads of units they can be a real FPS killer i presume if they're not THAT well made.

That's just you entering cities where there are a lot of people.

Well, first of all, COD4 supports a higher framerate. On battlefield 2142, sometimes my framerate goes up to 500 or something ridiculous like that. When a higher framerate game gets choppy, it will still have a high framerate. It's hard to explain but I'm going to try. | = frame, # = space.

Good: |#|#|#|#|#|#|#|#|#|#|#|
Choppy: |####||||##|||##||####|||##|

So the framerates are still the same because it's an average.

Simple, your PC may be godly, but WC3 can use godly CPU power, once CPU load is maxed then FPS falls massivly. COD is well optimized to remain realtivly constant FPS wise and is tested to do so. WC3 on the other hand was only for normal melee, the map maker of the TD did not do enough testing and so his map used too much computational recources to run so your PC could not handle it. All in all blame the maker of the TD not wc3.

Also remember that WC3 is not well threaded so does not use your processor to the maximum.
