Well, first, you have the event of

A Unit Starts the Effect of an Ability

then, the condition of

Ability Being Cast Equal to (your ability)

Then, in your actions, do whatever you want the spell to do (you'll have to learn atleast GUI if you dont know it)

Useful functions: Triggering Unit = the unit that casted the spell, and is more efficient than Casting Unit. Target Unit of Ability Being Cast = what unit a unit-target spell targeted. Target Point of Ability Being Cast = what point a point-target spell targeted.

I did it somewhat

I DID IT! I made a skill that was somewhat triggered. Well not really. There was nothing special to it just that when you did it, it did alot of damage to some units in a region. All you have to do is get chain lightning and zap the dreadlord, than watch the dudes in the back! Use any skill from the dude /w chain lightning. Blade master use the Vine entangle thinggy and mirror image. With dread lord use impale. With Warden use blink. And ignore that pesent. Its one of the triggers just watch him when your using one of the skills.

Ok now....

Now that I learned how to make a region skill. (like when Unit1 casts lightning on Unit2 Unit3-5 dies) how do I make that skill look different? Like make chain lightning look like the abominations plague cloud, or make rain of fire have rain of fire, blizzard and other things to it.
Acctually wouldn't that be a brand new skill in object editor or can I use a GUI skill to do it?
