I have 2 questions... I am trying to work on skills and how to create them and trigger them and stuff like that, but recently I've been going a little hard, and running into a lot of problems...I've been trying to make a very...unique skill for the hive and for my own personal use....Knock back strike...I've heard knock back was bad in GUI so I decided to learn a little bit of jass... First off I need to know how to make knock back..I know how to make the strike.. and second, like I said before, I want to learn jass..So can any skill makers or anyone tell me some useful codes in jass...Thank you

You can use the knockback function from my sig, though you would need to have JassNewGenPack.

Anyways, for a knockback, you need to have a distance that lowers with each execution (that means the unit is slowly stopping). Second, a timer that goes off every 0.035/0.04 seconds, so you can achieve a smooth effect. Anyways, you have a basic knockback tut here.

Note: After testing .04 interval projectiles on a spell of mine, the spell appears to lag slightly (Especially noticeable with smaller models, such as the Parasite missile, and sort of noticeable on medium sized models like Death Coil). .03 removes this choppy effect. (It's not actually lag, just your eye starting to notice a choppy update interval)

Oh, and a target knockback has been around for years -.-

As to learning JASS, I suggest looking in the site's Tutorial section for some beginner tutorials. I do not, however, suggest attempting a Knockback (writing one) until you are fairly proficient in JASS.
