I made a couple of models based on icons made by someone who doesn't come anymore.

I made 2 item models for the icons he made, namely the "Ring of Reckoning" and "Ring of Agony".

Now, for the Reckoning one (ouroboros), I used internal textures for the model so it's not a problem and I could just upload it and say "inspired by". But for the Agony one I used his icon as the texture since I thought if I'm using the model I'm going to use the icon anyway.

So my question is, do I have to ask his permission for this or what? Because uh... he hasn't come back here in a few years.

Since those icons are WOW icon edits anyway, I don't think it is a good idea post the model which uses the icon. But for the other one that uses ingame textures is totally okay and you are welcome to post that model in our model data base.

Those icons Gwen submitted are WoW icons, so I doubt he'll care if you use them.
