I am really interested in where this forum design comes from. Did you guys build it from scratch or did you have to purchase the software or what? I want to make a forum for a site of my own and don't know where to start.

It's not super-hard. go to htmlgoodies.com to start learning html. or just r-click this page to view the source code. so just get the webspace, the thumbnails, the code, and the extras; then put it all together. thats basically how you make a website in a nutshell. a tiny nutshell.

yes. and please post in the off-topic section for these posts. it'd fit more in there, and youd get more view

This is an ipb board not the user friendly phpbb. You just have to skin your ipb that will look something like this. Also for the html stuffs, just play around w/ your Microsoft Frontpage. Actually, html are not that quite hard and you do not even have to memorize all of them so long as you have good referrences. Above all, they are fun too. :D Anyway, enjoy customizing your site. :D

Darky didn't fully make the site... Similar site are made by Vbbuletin. He enchanced it however with some stuff... Like voting system and downloading part and many other.

Yay! Vbulletin are very scary because moderators can check your PM's. :D WC3C is powered by vbulletin.

Dude, if u want to make a forum urself its A LOT of work, and it has not much to do with html, to make the layout ofcourse yes but u will need to learn php and use mysql as well.
And its definitely not easy.
