How unlearn a tech

The GUI function to set the tech levels doesn't allow techs to get a lower level than their current one. Is there any other way to do it ?

What does your tech gives you ?
An increased health to certain units ?
You can redraw the benefits via triggers.

Create a duplicate of same upgrade and just add ''-'' sign and set level of that upgrade when you want to subtract something....

Unfortunately, no. It is impossible to unlearn tech.

It is possible by using some tricks.
You must have a quite amount of level for the research, for example:
Level 1 - +300 HP Bonus
Level 2 - -300 HP Bonus
Level 3 - +300 HP Bonus
...
Level n - xxx HP Bonus

When you want to learn the tech, simply increase the level of the tech (Level 1 currently), and when you want to "unlearn" the tech, simply increase the level of the tech too (Level 2 currently).

The cons of using this method is that the upgrade level will be limited to a certain value.
You can use this method if the tech is going to be learned/unlearn few times (20 ~ 30).
