How to verify DVDs' RW feature

I bought 10 DVD RWs today. I want to make sure im not going to disable their rewriting possibility. How is it possible? Im using them with dvd player and computer. With computer I use them by nero, powerISO and MagicISO, maybe by window's own burning program (vista).
They are pretty expensive...

Nero's overburn is one way.
