How to use an effect properly?

I have this one effect I want to use. If I use trigger to attache the effect to a unit and after that destroy the effect it takes about four seconds before the effect will disappear from the unit. Why does this happen and can I do it somehow that the effect will last a shorter time???

EDIT: Oh I try this effect thing in object editor will see later if it works...
EDIT2: I don't know how to get it working. I would just to make te effect work everytime the unit attacks and the effect sould be attached to right hand.

Attach the effect to a dummy unit then remove the dummy unit.
If you want something like an attachment like an axe, then use abilities to show the special effects.
