in Reforged!!! Before you start talking about "TerrainArt\Blight\Lords_Blight.blp"... in Reforged it is NOT.
I work in old game versions. I can't figure out how to check texture paths in reforged.
I assume that Blight texture path/place has changed in HD version. Has anyone know that it is now?

Same map opened in reforged editor, when switching among SD and HD has different textures for blight.
In SD it shows whatever texture i replaced blight with because TerrainArt\Blight\... works.
In HD it reverts back to original blight texture because my new texture does not override it :(

The reforged blight textures are DDS files located in war3.w3mod/_hd.w3mod/terrainart/blight:

You can view this using CascView. From here, you can extract the tiles you want to edit, edit them, and save them as a DDS file (using Nvidia's Texture Tools or a tool like Warcraft Image Lab to convert a PNG to a DDS. You'll want to use the BC3 or DTX5 setting).

Then when you import those edited DDS files, you'll have to import them under the correct path, depending on your tileset. For example, for barrens it would be: terrainart\blight\barrens_blight_diffuse.dds.

For reference, the "diffuse" file controls the color of the texture--so if you just want to edit the color/look/contrast, this is the file you'll want to edit. The normal map and the ORM files, on the other hand, control how lighting interacts with the tile.

LOVE you man. Looks like this was exactly what i needed.
I don't even need to edit textures. Its much simpler. I just wanna use existing terrain texture. So i simply rename the one i need into the corresponding blight one. Looks like the path is the same after all just the texture file itself is a different thing now...

Wanted to give you Rep, then noticed that the system is gone? 😦
Damn im old 😅
