How to protect/optimize my map??

Hi everyone i have a very big map that i was told i could optimize and protect to make it take less room, could anyone please teach me how?

I just downloaded that program but i can't open the file for some reason, any help plz? =X

The file is of the type ".W3X", right? If it is, it should work perfectly. If it for some reason doesn't work, it might be protected/messd with in some way..

That's where i downloaded it from, it is very weird (I use vista =/) when I double click it in the download section a black box pops up for a fraction of a second then dissapears, and it does so every time i try to open it... any idea?

make sure you have 7zip installed or any program capable of opening 7z archive files. The default tools which come installed should not be able to so you will need a separate program to do so. Fortunatly 7z is free so I reccomend using it.

I did download 7zip but it's still doing the same thing, is it because I am using gay vista =//?
Anyways I think I'll just have a friend optimize it for me then send it back...

PS: Vista = Daily bitch slap in face, Beware!
