How to make unit deals damage to all unit that it walks through ?

So if i wanna make missile that deals damage per second, or just once, that passes/cuts through them how can i do that? Never did that so i have none idea, would i need to use immolation ability(does it stacks?) or what ?

you could pick all enemies in range of lets say 50 and then order the missile to damage the picked units ;D (periodically => each second or mb 0.04s)
