Hi all,

Unsure how to make this look more natural.

Maybe I should use a different water model, or use a different water fall model. I honestly don't know

Any tips is welcome.

In case you're wondering what you're looking at. The waterfall is leading to higher terrain and thats where I decided to use the water model that is imported.

Looks like you're using the "Waterplane" model, right? My two main suggestions here would be to first flip the waterplane model so that the transition line between the waterfall and the water is more of a straight line rather than a jagged line as it is now.

Next I would suggest using some rocks and spires and reeds and shrubs to hide the most jarring parts of the transition.

Your waterfall looks crappy because in Reforged, Blizzard changed rendering priorities and since then, deep waters renders on top on textures with Transparent shader, so pretty much your waterfall.

Yeah, it sucks and it's not something you can change. It needs to be adjusted in engine.

But looks like you use the same waterfall model as I do. The solution I found is to slap some doodad between the waterfall and the water behind it. Big rocks for example. This way, the transparent textures of the waterfall aren't rendered on water, but on top of the geometry of the rock, so the water shader does not overlap your waterfall.
