How to make the units attack with the attachment?

Ellow Guys.
How do i make the units attack with my attachment. Lets say i just imported a Sword, and set it to be a visible attachment? how can i make it posible to attack with it?

The only way to do this is having a model that acts like having a weapon in its hands and attaching this attachment to its hands.
