You can use Locust ability. The Downside of this is that the interceptors won't be attack-able by enemies.
You could make interceptors as units following some movement pattern around the carrier while they attack and can be attacked. The hardes part relies on the math for movement the interceptros movement. It's all triggered.
Locust ability already does that. Just add the Locust ability to the unit, and configure the locust ability with the amount of units to summon, and the unit type that will be summoned.
With "Locust" i mean the swarm or something like that ability
You can't summon/unsummon the ability. You could give 99999 duration so the only way to stop it is dying.
edit: jut tried something new, i removed the 'locust' ability from locust units and changed their attack range, now they are able to get attacked and now it works like interceptors from starcraft (but it still a spell no a passive.....)
