How to make an upgrade to be researched only once

I want my upgrade to be researchable only once, like the normal attack and armour upgrades. After its researched a new better upgrade will appear, unless there is no better upgrade, in which case the upgrade button will disappear, just like the normal attack and armour upgrades.
Right now, i have only one upgrade and i want it to disappear once its completed, but i can research it a million times.

Well, making an upgrade is hard by it self, so i will not tell you how i made that, maybe i will make a tut instead, but once you made your upgrade to the state that i had it in the OP, you need to add a requirement, just take a look at the existing upgrades. Its not easy to explain with out images and i'm not making a tut here.

well considering a fresh upgrade is blank, it still shows and explains the same information. by all means though, dont let me stop you if you want to. was just trying to help
