how to host?

Hello!

[I have givin you direct links so no need to find on what your looking for besides your model #]
First things first lets forward the port by going to portforward link listed below

*Please note you will need to find your model # which is on the back of your router so simply flip your router upside down and the model # should be there*

After thats been done sometimes you will need to set a static ip so to do so go to this link below it will guide you through

i have follow all the instructions on portforward.com and turned the firewall off but i dont can host...(and im not a IT-pro)

i read on the backward of the router there it stood the name that i found in the list. i dont think its router. otherr peoples too cant host even if they use /PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

I was unable to host like 2 years, but after that I was again able to host games. :d

Foward the port WC3 is set to use to your PC. Also make sure any fire wall is in compatibilty mode. Then host and people should be able to join.

Make sure your router and any anti-virus programs are allowing wc3 access to the correct port. As stated it uses 6112.

Wc3 does not have to use 6112. You can change the port used under options. The transmission protocal is important thou.

If all those dosent work i got a mini tut here:
First run cmd
Then write ipconfig
Then u copy the default gateway ip
Paste the ip in the site frame
if u come to D-link or something press enter or mouse click on enter
u dont need pass or username
go to Advanced
go to Application rules
And write Warcraft 3 in name frame
port gotta be 6112 traffic type gotta be Tcp and always active

Some routers have an option built into them, under Games or something similar to that. Just select your computer and the game, and it works perfectly unless your firewall is being ghey. Mine had it, for example.
