How to hide minimap

I dont know how to hide my minimap, can someone tell me?.

Are you referring to the minimap in-game or when you are about to start?

My own way on hiding my mini map is replacing my minimap with complete black..

I create a black 256 x 256 tga.. i convert it to blp... import it... and change the path to war3mapMap.blp try this if it works..

You could also cover the map with some super large icon from some source.
