How to check if proxy works?

Aw man seems i did it wrong =/

There are like all kinds of proxy's and they don't explain what is what =S

I have no idea what kind of proxy ^^

I looked at some sites and tried to add one but they don't display what type it is =/

Screens of what, i guess 80% of the people using this site frequently have firefox right.

I also use firefox so it are the same options.

Somebody knows the difference? Firefox has HTTP, SSL, FTP, Gopher-proxy and SOCKS-host

and somekind of option for SOCKS v4 and 5

But i have no idea what is it and i can't find a good explanation on google...

If you want to use a proxy you can try the online ones...

Now i tried to put it somewhere, but i have no clue where to put the IP adress and port...

tried some things but they all ended up with me being disconnected from the internet.
