Hi, everything I can see now on battle net are hosting bots rather than real people hosting, does that mean its dead?

God, I dont know how to put it. I just wonder if it would be worth finishing my ORPG map, cause I enjoy making it but I also want players.

btw; WC4 PLS

I feel with you....
I also think on abandoning my map because there are simply no players anymore who play it
Only few maps are only played I can see on garena.
So, I think Wc3 is dead (unless you have some people to play with)

I think gameranger is the best way to play warcraft 3 . I know DotA is the most popular game ( and it sucks ) . Well you get many friends there to play with
DotA is the worst game ever seen in wc3, both in RoC and TFT sucks, looks so boring to play.
I hate those hostbots too, fill the whole lobby full of crap and we can't find the game we want to go in... they should be ip banned.

or you're jealous because the map is unlimited number of times better than your map.
Don't trash talk, that doesn't even make any sense. There are thousands of funnier games than DotA.

he hates DotA cuz he doesnt know how to play and he loses everytime. LOSER !
I know DotA, I played it once, just testing the abilities and looked already boring.
Even LoL is better than DotA.

well, wc3 is pretty much dead, in public at least
It isn't really dead lol, there are many people who play public games on wc3 RoC.

You could say 'move to any other blizzard made game after TFT was released' for a better experience.

DotA is by far the most hosted map on battle.net; 99% of those hosted by bots. I bet you on average that over 80% of all hosted games on battle.net is now hosted by bots. What's even better is that if you get a dick 'host' that bans you for some stupid reason, then you're locked out of about 20-30% of the games on battle.net since there are around 3 major banlists floating around.

Back on topic: public battle.net is dead, if you want to get a good game in, host it privatly and invite your friends/clanmates.

League of Legends is of course going to have greater potential to be better than any warcraft 3 AoS, simply because the engine is geared for it, and is still under development.

Half copied games.

Doesn't mean anything, 80% of players don't play DotA.

I've already seen that.

DotA games? I don't even play it.

I still see many people going in many public games.

Dead? For me it looks fine to me and is still being played but what I notice is that is that in BNet it looks dead. In GG, it is heck as alive but too bad that most of users there, plays DotA which is said because it gets too repetitive and annoying that what you always see is Dota maps being host and servers full of DotA rooms.

I dont have grudge in DOtA but gets too annoying that rooms are full of that.

I've been around since the beginning, but ufortunaly I never got into map making until later, when I eventually started playing WoW, like many others.

BTW I prefer battle.net over gameranger though as only dota's being hosted there. (people also tend to pirate games and use gameranger among other programs to play online.)

However, I'll probably continue on my map.

Go to Europe Rooms (Not RPG), you'll see a large number of melee maps going on there.

*facepalm* guys, seriously?

Aside that, a couple of years ago on Garena when i actually used to play there I got beyond more attention for my map making than I ever needed.

The top thing that you need is the right attitude towards others in the right crowd(which, yes it is possible to find a positive bunch around Garena).

But that's actually pretty rare in Garena now. All I can see by now are overused maps. That's why private games are the best for me now.
