how can i uninstall or relocate mysql

i cant discuss what i need it for so lets just discuss how i can fix the problem. i need to relocate it to run the xampp version of it. please help me out quickly.

I'd recommend putting in the CD (or running the iso) and deleting it from there, but it's really a mess to uninstall, and if possible I'd reinstall the entire machine just to be sure.

i have neither. it came without an installer and installed itself as a service when i ran it the first time.

So you installed it from an .exe file? Try just removing it from add/remove programs, but I think you have to remove multiple programs/features.

i removed everything sql related from there but the problem still remains.

Reinstalling your pc is probably the fastest way you can do it. Microsoft integrated products are just a pain in the ass to remove. If I were you I'd try google. Search for something like SQL complete removal.

i searched for a solution with yahoo and i found one that solved the problem. there is a command prompt command that can remove services and i used that to remove mysql but in order to complete the removal i had to reboot.
