How can I make lightly pathed terrain?

You could delete pathed doodads in the object editor! And then apply your own pathing blockers where you wish so it doesn't make problems such as those. Also try not using destructibles.

What Oziris said. If you haven't reached a point in your map where you don't wish to start over, I suggest you use UTM as a base.
When you're done, you can simply remove the imports you aren't using.

@OtherTwoPosts: I'm really just looking to find some models for a snowy map that don't have too much of a pathing influence. Like shrubs, shrubs are basically walkable.. But they are no 'green' shrubs in Siberia.. I'm not even sure there are trees, how do you terrain a map without trees!!? I was hoping someone would have some epic tips. I'm not using destructibles and most of the doodads have custom pathing blockers on them, rather than having pathing in WE, that's not the problem the problem is when your running from zombies in the woods you end up getting fucking owned because of the terrible pathing.

That's bad, well try not to cover the whole terrain with snowy tiles, try using some dirt and then spam grass on that dirt. Dead trees from Wc3C are good, also try using a harder fog but make it white and very little blue or if your aiming for night, black and some blue. Raise the ground, don't make it flat, add some waterfalls,cliffs and so on. I see you have all these stuff but they aren't used in a good way. If you want more advise on that tell me.

Also that is the bad side of snow terrains, lack of details.

The shrubs that I used in this very old terrain could come in handy, you can find them in the UTM, same goes like Oziris mention for the trees. Also adding trees and rocks together like islands in the wide tundra underlines an icey cold effect.

Yup.. Well I'm not using any Blizzard cliffs, there currently is a lot of dirt the paths are all dirt, and the only open parts of the map. I won't use grass because in Siberia there is no grass lol. I already have Dead trees from WC3C in the map if you hadn't noticed.

@M0rbid: Now that is fucking sexy and it gave me an idea.. River Rushes tinted to look white or gray would look like dead shrubs. Where did those really tall trees with the dead tops come from? Or what are they made of? Now if you could give me a link to the UTM that would be great.

Okay I deleted every tree from the map, and I noticed how good the terrain looks without trees, so I think I will use less trees.

And everything I used in that terrain should be included in the UTM. Those trees should be found at Doodads/Environment.... Tree:deathwoods or Tree:dead or something.
I do not use the UTM anymore so, dunno for sure

Yeap, I realized that after and that's why I said "I see you have all these stuff". And I didn't mean cliffs like Blizzard cliffs, you can make cliffs by raising the ground, adding rock tiles on the steeply edges.

Just search Siberia by google and you will see, and I've also been there so I know.

Use the grass model that Morbid showed you in the terrain and also those dead trees.

I can use the Lodearon Rock Chunks as icy rocks too.
You wouldn't happen to know how to make one model with many variations would you?

Um no, but you can always change it's size and direction but that won't help if your overusing the doodad.

The other strategy is to 'buff up' (so to speak) the places you do have doodads. So let's say you've got alot of empty space and one tree in the midde. If you make the tree bigger than normal, add stuff hanging from the tree, place a bunch of plants at the base of the tree, and maybe some barrels, then all of a sudden the area looks alot more filled b/c people's eyes instantly go to the tree and no the empty space around it.

you can try replacing its texture with a snow texture (try the texture from the glaciers or something)...

If you dont want to delete your entire map, try removing the current Collision size of the objects you have used in your terrain ( I'm sure someone has said this already, but i didnt read all the forum posts.)

And If there are places you dont want people to explore (such as walking through big trees, or just an area of rocks with 0 collision size) add Pathing blockers manually to have a more controlled gameplay setting.

Yup I know that already, I was just basically looking for super-duper-tips, and I got some so this is resovled, if you would like to see how the terrain I changed looked before and looks now click my signature and go to the bottom of my first post where the Imagery is.
