How can I drastically decrease the filesize of a model?

Hi, I was wondering about which tools and techniques I would have to utilize in order to decrease the filesize of a model that I would very much like to use for my new map. The main bulk of the size of the model comes from the mdx file and some from the blp files. Is there a way to decrease the quality of the mdx and blp files or to compress them to make them much smaller in size?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

for models used mdlVis optimizing options, and then do mdx squisher.

for blps, reduce them a mipmap and export them with Art Tools or try to make them paletted blps.

EDIT: NVM, so mdlVis for the model.

What do you mean by mipmap? Also, where would I be able to find downloads to mdlVis, art tools and mipmap?

Nvm then for blp, just use low quality with magos or pitzer's blp paletter.

Well, I've gotten mdlVis but I am having a problem finding the mdx squisher option in the optimize selections.

mdx squishing is another tool. Look for it in wc3campaigns' tools database.
