How can I block off certain regions?

I have a player with a blink ability. I've been using pathing blockers, but they don't seem to work so well. This small human can blink in the cracks. Is there a way to block off an entire region like basically making a square and you cannot blink into that square?

Use "Unit Begins casting an ability" event, and check if targeted point is in a specific rect. If yes, then stop unit before it finishes casting blink, and perhaps display a message for the owner of that unit.

"specific rect" what does that mean?

It's a "region"; That thing that you manipulate/create on the world editor is actually a rect. Even though the editor calls it as Region for both "Region Palette" and GUI.

One can iterate all cells in a rect and turn off the desired pathing.
