I want to create an aura adding armor and regeneration bonus.

I'm using the human aura and the undead one. When the hero learns the first, he learns the other one, too. But the second shouldn't show up or use the same space as the other aura so it is effectively one space taken by the ability.

I read one thread about this, but the only solution supporting the aura to still have an effect was to create a spellbook, putting the spell in and disabling the book. Seems a bit complicated to me ...

Thx for help. =)

Read the secrets of Spell book.
Here is a tutorial: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/f279/mysteries-spellbook-33039/

I didn't undarstand it at start, but than i figure it out how that spell book works. You are free to ask if you don't get it. and i think this sis the best solution for your problem.

@Squigg: what if dummy gets lost :p
I mean it would work with 5 other triggers(if hero dies, if hero uses town portal/blink,... you have to calculate all these)

I'm not good at making dummies. -.-
Is the dummy supposed to be a hero or can I use a worker, too? I mean because it has to learn a hero ability (don't want to make it non-hero).
a dummy can be anything, a worker or a hero. though if u are using a hero ability u need to change the ability path else use a hero.
After which change the model to none.mdx and give it the locust ability and you are done. the rest such as following is done by triggers.

I read the tutorial and I understood everything (I guess so ;D ).

I created a spellbook, disabled it for the unit, and when it learns the armor aura the unit "learns" the spellbook. Everything's working, fine.

But Unholy Aura and Devotion Aura (is it called like that?) both still show up their buff icons though I deleted their buffs. I did the same with the True Shot aura, and this one isn't shown.

If you did everything right, both buffs should show up(as it did). And I think you can't remove buff, you can give it a black icon, but there will still be text(from the buff) and a black icon(it could look silly if there are more buffs and there is a:> buff icon, empty(black icon with text) and another buffs<. You know what I mean?

About the True Shot Aura, I wouldn't know whats wrong that the buff don't shows up.

Nah, you know, I want to combine two auras, but two buff icons for one combined aura just look stupid.

I thought I just give the second aura which shouldn't show up no buff, but this doesn't work.

If I gave it a black buff icon, it would still take up space, wouldn't it.

Is there any other way to combine Unholy and Devotion Aura (in one icon)?

its impossible to hide buffs
you need to do something else like adding item armor bonus to nearby allies and remove it if they arent nearby

Which isn't worth the trouble, really.

Honestly, just remove the aura graphic over targets with the buff, and it will be as hidden as it needs to be.

If it's not possible, I won't try it anymore. ;)

Maybe I'll make it with a trigger since I'm not sure whether I want it to just effect the hero himself or also nearby units.

Thanks. =)

Just edit the "Effect" of the aura. Remove the Model attached to the effect, and you will have no VISUAL indication besides the buff icon on the unit.
