Thought I'd get off my ass and make an introduction post instead of just idling around commenting and rating models(which is why I originally made this account).

I'm a swedish would-be-mapper, meaning I know the basics and alot of the stuff you can do with the object editor, I can terrain but I'm not f*cking badass at it. I've never actually made the effort of completing a map, but I'll probably get there someday.

I spend my free time hanging out/gaming with my friends, playing american football, studying and when I get a chance at it I map. I'm trying to learn more about the triggers, so any tips would be welcome.

Searching the site using the above link always helps, you can learn a lot that way: just reading and learning is usually the best place to start, especially if one feels overwhelmed.

Likewise, the tutorials can really teach ALL of us a thing or two.

The chat room is cool: lots of people can answer questions there.

  • Always search first! Did I already mention THAT?
  • When creating a new thread, make the title VERY specific: so the site's search engine (and we users) can easily understand just what the thread contains.
  • Post your new threads in the proper forum: read the descriptions of each one so that you know what to post there.
