  • Timer
    • Events
      • Time - Elapsed game time is 0.01 seconds
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Countdown Timer - Start TimetoWin as a One-shot timer that will expire in 600.00 seconds
      • Countdown Timer - Create a timer window for (Last started timer) with title Time untill you win
      • Countdown Timer - Show (Last created timer window)
Note: Timer windows will not function if the Event is Map Initialization.

There are several functions that one can not do at Map Initialization. Timer windows is one of them. I believe that Leader Boards, dialog boxes and some parts of cinematic actions (sounds?), and picking destructibles cannot have the event as Map Initialization. I'm certain there are others I just cannot think of them right now.

My personal rule of thumb is to spread things out over a couple three triggers, using map initialization to set variables, set sky, fog, environmental stuff, set resources, team alliances, and other things along those lines. Considering that most of the maps I have made have had a short cinematic sequence at the beginning a lot of my spawning events are after the cinematic sequence.

Ususally folk trigger stuff to something like:
  • Time - Elapsed game time is 0.05 seconds
To start timers, cinematics, leaderboards, dialog boxes, blah.

For the bases/workers remove the default trigger - Initialization.
By the second question you mean how to change group names ?
If yes its this way - Scenario -> Force Properties -> Use Custom Forces -> Add Force -> Drag the players to whatever force you want them to be.
You can also Rename Force there.
