Hi @ all,

I ran into a strange problem. In the WE you are able to lock a units head or chest to another unit ("Animation - Lock Body-Part Facing") . To make this work the bone for the head must be named as "bone_head" and the bone for the chest as "bone_chest". I created several models myself and everything works fine ingame. The only problem is, that they won't lock their heads or chests, if called via trigger, to another unit. The names are correct and all animations work fine.

I'm using 3ds max 5 and arttools for exporting and had never problems with this combination. Are there addtitional special parameters to make the triggercall work? Never heard of something like that.

If anybody got a hint or an idea, plz tell me.

And before some of you start flaming me, i searched several forums and used the search function as well *g*

Hm, got an idea. It is possible that the objecttrack in dope sheet, which you have to insert when working with 3ds max, does something bad to the models? Cause if you import a WC3 model into 3ds there is no object-track.

EDIT: And yes, I tried the trigger with original wc3 models and they worked. So the problem must be in my models.

for me it works for head because the bone name is Bone_Head
but for chest it doesn't work because the bone name is Bone Chest
you forgot the "_" :p

i attached that test map take a look :) (wait 20 sec in game and 1 will lock his head on the footman and other one will lock his chest to the footman)

Blizzimporter can't import note tracks (animation names) in dope sheet
no the track doesn't do anything bad for the model

btw why do you use so much frames :S

When I started modelling I set the framecount to 930 as default, cause it was told to do that in the tutorial. Over the time I forgot about it *g*

It's quite funny. I knew, that the chest bone wasn't named correctly. But the headbone was. Nevertheless it didn't work in my testmap.

Thanks a lot to you skrab.

Greetings Thy
