Help on creating new structure models 3DS max

Hi everyone.

I've been recently doing some graphical mods for WarCraft 3. The unit models are okay, but I got stuck with the buildings. I wanna recreate the Town Hall for example. I am using 3DS max and Neodex.
Now when creating animations, I need to make parts of the model invisible during the animation (For example the castle, and the keep models are in the scene, but wolud need to be invisible until the animation gets there). I tried doing this via object properties in 3ds max, and set the visibility to 0, but when I export the model, it is stilll visible in the game. Would I need to set something in neodex to make this work? Thanks in advance.
