Well this is the model itself and there are no cameras nor portrait animations attached, so it's not surprising :p

You either need to import a separate portrait file with the path YourFootmanFileName_Portrait.mdx or replace the vanilla footman with the path Units\Human\Footman\Footman.mdx in which case it will use the default footman portrait but also replace the model in all instances

Yeah... that was the only thing I could find of that model! I found it in some thread, there weren't even screenshots but I ended up importing the model and it was really cool and I want to use it!
If I replace the vanilla footman path, can I use the vanilla footman model on a custom unit or all instances of the vanilla footman model are replaced by the custom one?

what Chaosium said, i think you forgot to dl the portrait file or misplaced it or something
here, i only copied chest and head animations from footman's portrait so no blinking etc
Thank you!
So he will never blink? That is not good . But I am not complaining, I am grateful!

PS: I actually experimented: if I change my mpq files of the game, or create a "Units/Human/Footman" folder in my warcraft 3 folder, the model(s) for the said unit(s) (for me) will be replaced by the ones I put in the folder(s).
So this worked! I could use this model with a working portrait from what I can remember, but I need it to work for my custom campaign, not everyone knows how to do that and even if they did, it is too much of a bother to do just for a custom campaign!

Important:

so I tested it and it works perfectly, marking thread as solved.
I lowkey dig this model slightly more than johnwar's Kirin Tor Guardian. I mean his is great and I also absolutely love it, but I dig this one more cause the cape is using the one directly from the sorceress' I think (which looks great) and the shield uses the Magic Sentry art on it; the shield is different than johnwar's one, it's more vibrant, more expressive!
