Hey there Hive, been stalking your stuff for a long time now and i actually would like to get pointed to something i swear i remember from here.

it was a multiplayer map where it was a whole bunch of players in FFA with another player acting as "god"

basically "god" could not win but could be persuaded to help a faction win, or make one they dislike lose

anyone know what this is? or did i simply dream up my own fantasy game?

THANK YOU! i hope to talk more with you all

I don't think such a game exists but still if you could give some more clues and some more info about what the game looked liked, the heroes , the spells, where u got it, the custom stuff or the best part of the game which is the reason u want i ..... Just try to remember some more clues and the name related things like the name of a hero, item, spell etc. If I can get some more clues then I may be able to help

I'm pretty sure I've played that map, although I remember it was either really buggy or really imbalanced. You didnt have a food limit, and you could have infinite heroes. I dont remember the name, though, sorry.

E: The map I'm talking about was something like an alterred melee.

I forget what the type of map is called but they existed since the early 2000s with Empire Earth (and probably Age of Empires before then).

Basically 1-2 players are given practically unlimited power and the rest of the players duke out in FFA/Diplo style to win. Some/most of them involve buying units from the "god". The "god" players are aimed at the server controller player as such he cannot win/lose.

It was popular back with Empire Earth as one of the most popular sort of custom map. However for pretty obvious reasons it never took off in WC3. I am guessing most of the fans of this sort of map migrated to LoaP god since it emphasised sand box play in an RPG style.

"Titan Lands" ? The god is called a Titan and the rest of the players take control over one of the War3 races. The Titan can make almost any generic war3 unit and a lot of other custom things. He can lvl up or down heroes, spawn gold mines, trees, destroy units, change owner of units(pretty fun when your main building is suddenly owned by an enemy... ) and a lot of other things (I mean A LOT) the game is revolving almost all around how the Titan can mess the game for you and make it funnier. There are versions where you could take control of a custom races as naga, demons etc. And there are versions where there is a special player slot "The Empire" who is something like a custom race but with is settled and controls a huge fortress.

wietlol... i find that a beautiful corruption, and applaud it.
but it's also one direction, why would you do that??

But yes these are exactly the types of maps i was after, again not too certain of the exact map, i know it had no water and it was the first map i'd ever seen with the ability to alter the terrain or set up creep camps / forest / gold mines mid game.

thats really the extent of what i can think of. mostly i ask because not only do i want to play them again (after playing that yilnuk v god one around here) but i also wanna open their insides and see how they tick...

actually... i think titan lands sounds familiar... not certain -looks into it.

There are several maps out there called 'God's Land' or similar and I am pretty sure that God can create gold mines and different tiles there. Also, mostly you have no food limit and God has to be persuaded to help a player. But, there exist a ton of versions and from different creators and such. Some feature more and other less content. The map you are searching for is probably one of them

Nonetheless, as said before, I think it is 'Titan Land', too, as it is one of the most popular games that contain tile change and creating gold mines.
