Hi everyone, Alpharius Omegon here. I'm a student in my final year of high school (not sure what you lot over the Blue Briny call the grade for ages 15-16), and I've been playing RTS games since I was four (even though I had no idea what to do until I was eight). I picked up Warcraft III not long after my dad died because I had a short attention span and didn't have a console of any kind, and it's been one of my favourite games ever since. Certainly, it doesn't match the depth or innovations of Dawn of War or Battle for Middle-Earth, but the story and excellent customisation kept me hooked. I did play World of Warcraft for a few months prior to the release of Burning Crusade, but when I saw the new expansion, that was it. I'm quite the background-lover, and when I saw such blasphemies as Illidan surviving getting gutted and Blood Elves siding with the Horde of all things, I quit and went back to Warcraft III. As I have an older PC (seven years old, with only a newer graphics card to compensate for all the terrible bits), I don't play newer games unless I go to the net cafe or a friend's house, nor do I play online games at home... hopefully this will be remedied once I can put this blasted new-fangled computer together...
Anyway, I got into modding and map-making recently, and have loads of concepts for a custom campaign that's just starting to get off the ground, and the Hive Workshop seemed like the best place to get some help. You'll never catch me forgiving Blizzard for their awful new games, but I can still appreciate their older works. Look forward to getting this campaign going with your input!
