Hello Hivers,
I'm creating a Paladin ability based on lightning shield that heals surrounding living units and deals damage to surrounding undead units, but I got stuck quickly:

Does anyone have an idea on how to do this?

Don't use regions for this sort of thing; if anything, use "Units in Range" periodically. This is so simple you don't even need to do that, though:
  1. Create an ability based on lightning shield that deals the damage you want. Set the targets to correctly identify undead (enemy or all?) units. This is the main Light Shield ability.

  2. Create a second ability based on lightning shield with the same duration that deals -1 x the amount of healing you want damage (you can enter negative values with shift+double-click). Set the targets to correctly identify living (friendly or all?) units, so that it will heal them instead of damaging them. This one needs no cooldown or mana cost because it will be dummy cast.

  3. When Light Shield is cast, create a dummy unit, give it the secondary healing ability (set the level = the original caster's Light Shield level if relevant), and order it to use that ability on the spell's target.

Thank you very much!
