This model was edited with Reflex permission from his BloodKnight model that isn't in Hive's database.
The Rider comes from Direfury's Elven Swordmen.
The idea was making a mount model with a easy path to geomerge riders as needed, the animations were tweaked by me to add the basic set for Knight units, counts with an inner portrait.
This one is to the Substandard / Too Simple section.
About the animations what need the extra speed, for the optimized aspect... most of the excessive frames were deleted and left the basic ones to keep the animations fluid, i worked more on the rider animations.

ah, alright then 'u' but the model could still benefit from matrix eater and its ability to alter the animation time, not by much, but a little quicker
I'm surprised no one has thought of making a "base model for cavalry units", where you can import whatever beast & rider mesh you want & then just attach the bones appropriately. Nowadays with Retera's MatrixEater, it's almost a non-issue.
