iMAC g5
2.1 GHz processor (about the equivalent of a 18.9 GHz AMD)
1.5 GB ram
500 GB hard drive
forgot the video card but I know it is vastly superior to the current PC ones.

a two-point-one GHz mac processor equal to a eighteen-point-nine GHz AMD processor? riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, I seriously hope that was a typo.

Vastly superior? mac cards are better for some things, but not all.

Look at the CPO comparision of macs vs PC processors. The current mac processor has a CPO rating of 6, the next closest PC would be AMD at 18. Do you understand what these numbers mean and how they are derived? I am not trying to sound condenscending here, but many people do not know so I am honestly asking. Also graphic cards are better, it is why professional graphics designers and artists usually use macs.

lol i don't think you can get quadSLI for mac... or 2 gb graphics..

you cant get quad sli at all atm. that is because the way sli works is by transfering data between the cards, you cannot have data shared between 3 cards or more because it would cause complications, and need large amounts of memory to make sure the cards dont render the same thigns together, it would be more trouble than its worth. while it would be possible in future atm it isnt.

AMD X2 4800+
2gb ram
ASUS A8N-SLI Premium mobo
2x 7800 GTX

the rest you dont need to know. but i will tell you about my sweet sound system. i have my mobo sound (which is very good, built in sound card) connect to a mixer and then an amp. its soo good.

and to be hounest i dont believe a 2.1 = a 18.9.....

i agree on that. I took only about 3-6 months before they went from normal SLI to Quad SLI. Something like that if i remember right. I don't think any mac beat that gfx-power. But anyway who need all that power. I'd think 1 GB was more than needed. Now it's 2 :)

1 thing i want to apoint to you Malufa.

Processor ain't really needed for gaming.
It's the ram and gfx Vram.

I'm runnin 2.5 ghz advised games fine with my 1,73 ghz. The ram and gfx is doin most of the work.

I'm faster at loading in TFT than a friend of mine with a pc with 3.4 ghz. He also haves 1 GB of ram. But his gfx-card ain't as good as mine, that's the difference.
He has a gfx-card from the Geforce6 series with 256 mb while mine is a 6800 go 256 mb (laptop version)

But when i comes to big FPS's like BF2 with 64 players full server i'm only just making it without lag..

The processor type\brand is what matters when it comes to "speed". This is because the processor works off of CPO, not CPU, there is a vast difference. Centrino has a very high CPU but their CPO is so poor that it means extremely little.

As for my graphics card, I did not say I had 2gb, I said I did not know what my graphics card was. Going back to their website I have: ATI Radeon X1600/256MB VRAM

I look at it like this; if they are the exact same things then why do proffessional graphic engineers use macs? Perhaps they do have a PC card company make them, but is not a corvette made by the same people who make the Impala?
