Harcoded Projectiles

When you make custom projectiles with dummy units (like spirit lance / spectral dagger / powershot from DotA) the projectile path is screwy on cliffs and hills, but hardcoded projectiles (like unit attacks) calculate arcs that look natural. I'm wondering if there is some jass or a script that has the code for the default projectiles so we can make custom projectiles have nice arcs or straight shots over non-flat terrain.
