Hm... Perhaps have a particle effect that circles around the building while it works, in a loop?

Yeah if none of the doors can be made to open, I'd agree with Warchief; sparkly particles are the way to go, make it a magical-type building. Either circling the building on the stairs or on the roof... or maybe streaming out from the top spire? Or maybe a ribbon/sheet "leaking" out from where the walls meet the roof, like in a ring?
