Hello Everyone
I've just subscribed to The Hive Workshop (or better i've done it yesterday but only now i find the time to write here).
I play blizzard games since the original version of Warcraft 2 and i've always enjoyed them (even WoW, but it stole my life for 2 whole years and i had to stop), now i've started playing War3 again after some years, and wanted to do some maps based on some old D&D adventures i did when i was younger (well, i'm 22 and i dare saying i was younger ), i had already enjoyed the powerful starcraft map editor but i've recently discovered with the war3 Editor you can do practically everything! (hell, i've seen Molten core map, tetris games and other great maps such as the Battleship thingie and ROTG, i was totally amazed ) and i want to learn more, that's why i subscribed to The Hive Workshop.
I'm pretty newb at making maps, but i study informatics at university so i'm good with programming and i learn fast.
I hope to find here the help and the ideas i need for making nice maps (and maybe one day to give help and ideas to other users). Sorry in advance for my dumb english but i'm italian so it's not my native language (though 2 years of WoW were very useful to learn english)

Searching the site using the above link always helps, you can learn a lot that way: just reading and learning is usually the best place to start, especially if one feels overwhelmed.

Likewise, the tutorials can really teach ALL of us a thing or two.

The chat room is cool: lots of people can answer questions there.

• A few other tips that might help too:
  • Always search first! Did I already mention THAT?
  • When creating a new thread, make the title VERY specific: so the site's search engine (and we users) can easily understand just what the thread contains.
  • Post your new threads in the proper forum: read the descriptions of each one so that you know what to post there.
