67chrome: I like the idea, but the execution is lacking. Shade it some more, and generally spend a little more time working on it. The eyes and mouth seem a little off, so I would suggest getting a few concept pieces to look at. There are plenty of well-done smiley faces on the web you could look at to get inspiration, but right now this skin seems a little to plain and quickly done to get approved

even for a smiley, it has to have aditional details. like color tones. from bright to darker.
