you could do that yes. would make it a bit easier. And i ran the trigger through my head for the fisher goblins cast & catch spell. Really not to difficult, though running it through my head there are probably errors haha. (the spell which he catches an enemy with his fishing pole and brings it to him)

not sure. Dont know if i see the point in making one. You want each player(goblin) to have at least one ability that they all have. Maybe Tinker. Fixes broken machinery.

Tinker: Allows you to fix any broken machinery laying around
 
We should forget the Warcraft 3 goblin idea.. its based on them.. but they dont have to be awsomely smart too.. like all machinery and robot and missile and stuff...

i imagine them like they a Twisted smart creature.. like they allways bring the crazyest idea .. instead of the simpless..

I see what you mean. You want goblins that are smart in the areas of being able to use fishing equipment to battle with. Got it. So you want each profession to have some unique ability that they can use at any time or that all the goblins have? you want a racial ability.
 
What i'm talking about a racial ability its like in wow.. that each player have the same spell.. it cost nothing but you can only do it like once in a while.. like... a

Camouflage ability for example..

or

a Crazy Jump ability (war stomp but they jump much higher)

or

a Charge ability (they charge with there head down and it stunts every unit that get hit by there helmet..)
 
HAHAHHAHA... lol yes.... but a little bit weird.. will you poke an enemy with your nose? i dont think so.. but i have to agree it maked me laugh for a couple of second..

btw when the terrain sketch is coming? i will make mine tomorow ^^

How about detonating explosives that are strapped around the goblin that does area of effect damage and stuns enemies for 1 second. Cooldown could be like 2 minutes or 1 or 3 minutes. Oh and it does damage to the goblin that detonated them. Or maybe not. You decide.

Yeah I like the explosive idea, it should do damage and it can be like an AoE, base it off war stomp and then make a trigger like

Events:
A unit casts a spell
Conditions:
[Casted spell] equal to [Suicidal Boom]
Actions:
Set [triggering unit] hitpoints to [-100]

or whatever, bend to your will

Well we know since goblins are small we need some giant things, like huge rabbits, but really they are actual scale its just goblin's point of view they are huge. We just need some modellers to edit the rabbit model so it's a bit more detail when larger, but doesn't cause too much lag.
 
well blizzard already did the CHicken and the rabbit high poly.. so its not a problem.. the only thing that could be good .. its to change the rabbit eye.. red.. so it looks dangerous.. :p

i can do that.. with no problem.. just need the rabit blp.

Btw for the terrain.. i might use Loarderon Summer.. + with some other tilesets added for the other place.. like ashenvale leaves.. and stuff like that.. to keep it really COMICS style hand happy and all... and mostly funny..

btw.. We will have a hard job for the game description to make them funny!

or .. and i just tought of something.. we could create items.. that can interacte with the environnement..

for example : Items -->A carrort (Heals you for 20 Hitpoint) well if we throw the item at a rabbit it because friendly.. (like a charm ability)

SHURE!! btw.. do we do like..2 models. (female / male) with all the classe animations.. + attachement for each classe.. i said..

like fisherman (a fishing pole in a hand..and a fish on the other)
Alchemist (potions and a nice pouch on his side)
Entertainer (Clone nose with a music intrument)
Cook (Cook hat, with a fork)
Hunter (Bow with a dead chicken on his head)

its only ideas..

even blizzard understands that explosives no matter the size hurts you severly (i.e. shockwave, your blood boiling, your insides literally imploding due to the pressure) with the sapper. but oh well. why not use the easter bunny blizzard used?

Hmm, the easter bunny idea might be good. I'll see if I can find it.

My MPQ became corrupt. But before that I had copied the entire MPQ data into folders. Basically extracted it.

The funnybunny model in the funny bunny egg hunt, a TFT scenario, is the perfect model. With some skinning I can remove the basket and make his eyes red.

I could never make out what your avatar and sigy was until now. Cool model.

This reminds me of the goblin in Island Defense. Being a goblin on an island trying to survive. lol.

To make something transparent you need an alpha channel. I'm working with those right now. If anyone wants to see my work so far on the bunny, just ask. I'll post the screenshots.

dude lief, we should just use this model... its all done for us. i extracted it from blizzards easter bunny map. But i guess a white bunny would be good for variety. this one could be the boss! lol

I just love the white bunny's attack spell animation. We'll use that for a normal attack animation. I already got the basket off of it and I also got it's eyes red, we're using it!

There is one with a hero glow and one without.
You only need to import the skin once.

I'll geomerge the head so when the hat is gone his head isn't empty.

For some reason my goblin doesn't work in-game. He doesn't have a portrait [Can someone fix that] and his hat and legs are missing, they're mesh 2 but it doesn't load. I'll figure the mesh problem out. Maybe if I make them a seperate model then use them as an attachment point on the point of 0 [origin] it may work.

Going over to a friend's house to play StarCraft. See ya guys tonight.

Edit. What's special about MY goblin is he doesn't have a backpack :D
And I removed his tank so when he goes into tank form it looks like [smoke moves with him] he jumps up and hes farting, I made a cool trigger and spell to work with that, so that's our racial ability. You've gotta see it.

Sounds like a good idea Goblin. We will need to make other models like a fishing hat and all those other pieces of gear you linked before. Would be cool if we could make each goblin hero have good detail. We are getting there though. Wheres that animator we need -.- haha. Im going to have to download milkshape 3D and play around with it.
 
awsome... now i need you guys... in witch kind of terrain the goblin could explore?

my ideas
--> a field.. (were theres rabit, and other BIG? animals) with lots of bushes and rocks.. and some tree here and there... (Goldshire in WOW)


-->A fearie forest.. a place with BIG BIG trees and some glowying magic effect here and there..where we could fight other small races... like Gnomes (the one with a white beard and a red Cone on there head) --> if you make it.. give him MK head with Tuskarr body + The red cony hat! (Like Ashenvale but cooler)

-->swamp... a fearie scary but nice looking place... with big plants and roots and stuff... with mosquitose.. etc...etc.. and big spiders.. and lizards.. and GIANT frogs.. (you will see ^^)

and thats all i have... we might add a farm.. that you can go in for exemple.. Like under the chairs and the table.. and the boss is a Cat.. :p..or the dog...

Hunter = Description: A goblin that can tame rabits and chicken and frogs.. and that have some range ability and that can put traps...

Attachement items -->Quiver
-->Bow
-->Robin hood hat


Cook = Description: a cook that can make some awsome and dangerous meal... and that can be verry dangerous with his killing recipies

Attachment items = -->Fryan Pan
-->Cooking hat


Alchemist = Description: never play with fire! well never play with potion ether! this chemical hero can transform flowers into dangerous living thing.. can set up things into fire.. etc...etc.. it those BOUM.. Kaboum.. and PAKLAAaah!

Attachment Items = -->Potion
-->Package belt


Fisherman = Description: BEWARE! OF THE HOOK!! he they are the best fisher around the place.. they can catch shark with a butterfly net.. MOUHAHahha.. this proffetion use all the well know fishing technique but with intelligents

-->Fishing hat (yellow waterprouf)


Entertainner = Description: Did you say Fireworks? Tamed Bear? Songs? and Magic tricks?! well your RIGHT!! cause the entertainner is a goblins that need affection so he those the crazyest and the dumbest thing you will never see in your life! :D

Engeneer = Description: they are so genius and inteligent that they are dangerous... cause their own creation could blow every single living things they see... even the worms that are under a rocks! for shure they have to be respected....
