Global Special Effect

Hi,
i want to do a special effect (in this case an explosion) that you can see all over the map. but such a big model doesnt exist or even work.
any suggestions how to create a global explosion effect 'feeling'?

what about create explosion at player camera locally?

so shortly:
-we know each player have 1 camera
-also we can ask the camera target position
-we know we can create special effect what visible only one player (GetLocalPlayerFAQ thread)

so if we do this things then we can create 12(or how much player play) special effect, each player 1 special effect at player target camera positionand if u mix with a bit shake then perfect

(special effect could be something smog or something what look well, idk if exist smoke model but maybe that one smoke model (something cloud channel? or idk the name), what exist u can try use it just create more than 1 because small)

or make a dummy smoke model to each player camera with expiration timer

@apocalypse, i already tried out the flash, but it doesnt look good (maybe its my fault),
the camera shake is a good idea

yep nice idea, but does that effect fill at least the whole screen?, also if you move your camera while that, it will disappear, right?

ok solved it with flash, looks good now, ty!

right, so u can use unit and can set the unit size for whole screen i guess and move to camera position with little intervals(or better the order unit to move? idk)

anyway just a question, if a explosion happenend then why dont pan everyplayer camera to explosion location instantly then back to prevous camera position?
