Hey people major news in the Starcraft community, Global Play will be available via an upcoming patch.
This means that worldwide playability is permited. It will give you quick access to play in other regions and alongside friends.

It gives you access to maps that aren't available in other regions and the possibility to participate in online tournaments. Each region has separate profile data, meaning that stats ( characters, profiles and rankings ) will not be tracked on other regions.

Simply put, this gives you renewed competition, the ability to connect with friends and acces to maps
This function can be switched from the login screen, just like that !
If your server is undergoing maintenance, you can log into a different region and keep playing.

The main problem with StarCraft II is the map development is mostly done by idiots. A lot of the wiki articles over are SC2Mapster are wrong.
And tutorials are mostly sub-par was what I noticed when I dared to open up the editor again for the first time since Beta looked for some starting points.

The sad thing is that it feels like 90% of the 3rd party tools have lost support and are buggy since most of them were created in the first 3 months of the editors existance by former WC3 mappers who tried to make the switch and then gave up.

I've also noticed that there's a very elitist attitude towards any kind of simplification of the data editor since that would just bring "noobs" or "idiots" into the SC2 mapping scene. Kinda fun though since most of the really popular WC3 maps were created by people who just had a simple original idea and never made a big splash on the forums.

It's just so sad to see the huge combined knowledge that the Wc3 mapping community has acquired dissipate because the game everyone was super hyped up for and wanted to migrate to didn't live up to the standards.....
