In a map im making at the moment, i am making it so that when a hero dies they turn into ghosts. I have got them to turn ghostly but i want it so that when the morph bar runs out, they die properly. Here is a better linear description:

Hero dies -> Hero is revived instantly (death msg is shown first though) with special effect -> Hero is made transparent (the ghosting) -> Hero is given item with morph ability that auto activates -> When morph timer runs out, the hero is removed from the game

-> if the hero goes to revival alter before morph time runs out, all transparency and other effects are removed along with item

How do i check for morph bar run outs? It is a 12 player map with at least 24 overall heroes (a king and queen for each player) and i am unsure of how to do timers right and if they will be good enough (the morph lasts 300 seconds)

Why not giving the revived hero a Buff called dead which effects and look is similar to banish? that would solve your problem just make it like this:
hero dies, revive hero, give hero ability (death), start timer, timer elapsed "the timer", if hero has ability (death), hero remove from game

Why you giving him an item? Then you get trouble if his inventory is full. better give him an ability and showing him a countdown timer on the right top of the screen.

You think thats a good thing? Searching items a long time only to find the best. then dying and loosing all items and an other player simply picks up your items. That would demoralize players. think about it.
