Example: What do you guys think about censorship in the anime world ? I noticed that in my country there is such a huge censorship of blood and violence that whole series are ruined, like Naruto or One Piece.
How is it in your country and what do you think about it ?

There is zero censorship over here I only watch the uncensored version in every anime with a few exceptions. There are a few animes that goes borderline hentai and I think it ruins my experience when I am not 'in the mood'. It's fine every now and when, but when it happens 2-3 timer per episode I sometimes prefer it censored so I can focus on the plot. (provided there is one)

is a good example, I'd describe is as torture porn with a good plot. Believe it or not.

Well, over here the dubbed animes are heavily censored. They exclude blood, most violence and whole scenes that are necessary to understand the plot ( e.g. the death of Sasukes parents in Naruto).
It ruins dubbed anime for me, but I am often not in the mood of watching subbed versions.

But, Chaosy, do you talk about dubbed in your language or japanese dubbed ?
I never saw a japanese dubbed anime that was censored, or to say, I did not notice.

Seikon no Qwaser got no dub as far as I know, yet they suck on boobs in quite a few episodes, uncensored. (I am not kidding)

Does anyone know a reason why the battle between Jūzō Suzuya and the two one-eyed twins was censored ? I mean, the version I watched, the knives hitting the black-clothed sister were blurry and no blood was shown. As Tokyo Ghoul is a violent series, why would they censor this scene ?

Beats me. I watched the uncensored version anyway, they censored it badly -.-

Yeah, noone has any idea why. Maybe because of the girl's age, though I doubt it.

Spotlight: Anime for people who hate it thread

I start to fear that I am losing interest in anime.

More specifically I am getting hard-flirted. During the last two seasons I haven't completed a single anime.
I watched 11 episodes of Erased but the 10th and 11th and 12th (according to rumors) episode were shit and ruined the whole anime. this season I watch Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.

Point is, I really love some anime I have watched but I have a really hard time finding new ones that I like.
Seems like it'll be a lot of rewatching stuff like "Jormungand" for the 5th time.

Never listen to rumors. They are often not true or do not apply to your personal taste.
That's all I can say, at least for me myself. Would have missed some treasures if I listened to all rumors.

I know the reason. Everything up until the 11th-ish episode went along with the original manga which it was based on.
Thus the ending was ruined because it was changed. I also think the the 11th episode was shit myself so I think the rumors are accurate.

Exactly.
There are quite a few manga I havn't read and such though.
Manga tends to be better actually. Almost all manga I've read for a while ended up at 8 or higher.
Though I wont link my list because I got some weird shit on it.

What do you guys think about fan service ?
Do you enjoy it or do you think it is annoying ?

I myself usually like it, if not overused, like in HotD.

In minor doses I like it.

Fan service in a series without plot is usually bad though.

^Yup, exactly my opinion. Though some series, like Highschool of the Dead use it too exaggerated so it becomes cheap and unrealistic + if it is badly dubbed it is a nightmare to watch.

What's your favourite one considering only fan service ?

I never watch dubbed because of that, it's mostly fan dubs that usually suck.
I think Highschool of Dead still got entertaining plot while having unrealistic fan service. So I had no issues with that.

Can you elaborate?
Do you mean the best anime with only fan service (or close enough, pure fan service is called hentai) or the best fan service I have seen?

Ah no, I meant the anime where you enjoyed the fan service the most compared to other ones, independently from the genre/plot

Sometimes I enjoyed Fanservice. But some times, it also disturbs the plot/storyline, making fans likes I because of the "nice" scenes

Started to read the light novel yesterday though.

Volume 9 is just about where the anime left of.
Needless to say it got my keen interest.
