I think this is where this should go ? anyway I have been working on a trigger system to save a map in the game cache I want to make a single player multi map sort of thing if you have played spell force two it is going to be kinda similar or if it make more sense like founding of durotar

the idea is I can build a base on map A and take a hero with some forces over to map B do what ever maybe create another base and then can come back to map A with hero and army, where my base and any changes will reload as if I had just left it perhaps that will explain it better

anyway my question is has anyone done anything similar or is it even possible ? I seem to have the basic's done and have got a bit stuck on some specific stuff

I am going to attempt to attach my test map to this post

hmm that kinda helps, but I already know all the information from it. mine system is quite a bit bigger then moving one unit or a group of units. thanks anyway

the more I look into this I don't think it may be really possible. one major problem I have come across is if you have units with a building e.g. night elf/ undead gold mine when it saves and then attempts to restore that unit it will cause a crash, I cannot at least at the moment think of a way of dealing with this :eekani:

the other major problem being how to save unit orders into the game cache

I think I maybe pushing things too far :(

EDIT:Ignore me the fool, just realised the above tutorial is different I will try it out and see what happens
I should not try reading and replying when tired

EDIT2: The tutorial worked and helped thanks a bunch.I may attach my test campaign later since I could not a download on the tutorial in case someone was stuck and finds this
