We now have the full list of all confirmed StarCraft 2 players for MLG Orlando. Hold onto your hats, kids.
We've already announced the Pools, which are full of so much talent that it's- well, it's ridiculous. But who's in the Open Bracket? Hint: it is brutal. Brutal in the most fantastic way possible if you're a spectator, but just plain brutal if you're competing. Whoever is left standing at the end of these shenanigans will have a serious claim to being one of, if not the best, StarCraft 2 players in the world.
Open Bracket Snapshot
Update: Late additions, who will be seeded before the Event begins: MouzHasuObs, QxGDestiny, FnaticKawaiiRice.
MilStephano (Z): The beastly French Zerg who blasted through the competition and took down Korean pro FXOLucky to win IPL3 just mere days ago, impressing the entire StarCraft 2 world with his performance and doubling the chances that Slasher might actually shave his head.
MarineKingPrime (T): No big deal here- he's just been in three GSL Finals. The Terran fan favorite, who's currently in Code S, is attending Orlando courtesy of a Reddit-spearheaded fundraising effort. We're incredibly happy to have him- but we can't speak for those who get matched up against him.
White-Ra (P): Otherwise known as the person who singlehandedly made warp prism drops a viable strategy. He's got style, he plays Protoss like he's a Terran, and he calls his opponents "enemies." He's also incredibly good. Expect deafening cheers whenever he takes the stage.
TSLPolt (T): Polt won the GSL Super Tournament in June, taking out Alicia, Losira, Huk, and finally SlayersMMA, Boxer's protege and the Champion of MLG Columbus. He's currently in Code S. So this will be fun.
QxGSaSe (P): SaSe is part of Quantic Gaming's newly refurbished StarCraft 2 team, and they aren't alone in expecting big things from him. SaSe has yet to win a major tournament, but frequently comes out on top of his group. He's beaten Stephano, Naniwa, Idra, and Kas, to name a few. Will he be the hope of the Protoss race?
oGsTheStC (T): After taking SC2 by storm during the beta, his career was put on hiatus by military service, but now he's back- and he's making his name heard. He placed first in his group at IPL 3 and beat Catz, Select and Idra before losing in the Semifinals to Stephano. We can't wait to see how he performs in the Open Bracket.
EGDeMuslim (T): Another fan favorite who's been on a tear lately. He made it through the Open qualifiers at IPL 3 before being knocked out in the Round of 32 by Ret, and got into the Championship Bracket through a vicious Open field at MLG Raleigh. He went on to take 15th there, breaking the Top 16 for the first time; how much farther can he go?
TSLAlive (T): Alive was in Code A for three Seasons before making it into Code S in May, where he's remained to this day. He also took 2nd Place in the NASL Season 1 Open Tournament. Alive's presence in the Open Bracket makes it an even scarier place for anyone who's worried about their anti-Terran skills.
That's just a taste of the talent in the MLG Orlando Open Bracket. Here is the full list of competitors. While you're looking at this, keep in mind that if you have a Silver or Gold Membership, you'll be able to watch four entire streams of coverage during Orlando- between that, and the improvements we've made to our scheduling, you are going to get to see an awful lot of this tournament.
Please note: this list, and the seeds for players who were seeded randomly, are subject to change at any time. Players are listed by their MLG ID.
