Updated On version of the icon, improved shadows and lighting on the arrows.

Nice edit, the first arrow head could be sharper with more solid shading, it looks like cotton buds in my opinion.

Can I upload zip files here? I made some team-colored versions of the icon, and would like to upload them packed up, instead of adding them as separate resources (25 team colors, off and on version, so 50 icons).

Also what's with the approval state now (this and the bandit defend icon)?

Still looks like cotton to me.
I suggest you to, instead of cutting the point with a rough blackline,

either present the arrowhead in whole or none at all ( stuck inside the shield, like how you did on your Bandit Defend icon, that looks better in my opinion).

It is enough for approval, but small fixes can be done for a better result.

Well, it's supposed to be a small hole the arrow punched in there and got stuck with the tip. It's a metal shield, so I didn't want it all the way through like on the wooden shield, but I still wanted it to look like it hit the shield already (unlike the other 2 arrows which are still on flight).

Yes, I understand.
But for now, the "wound" looks more like it got burned than cracked by a solid object, if that's supposed to be shadow then it is in wrong angle. It will looks better if you use a darker color of the shield, with thin, solid hard brush to paint the crack/hole, instead of just black.
I forgot to mention these points earlier, my apologize.

Some minor issue remains.
Effort was spent and we can certainly use a befitting version of defend for our trusty footmen and stinky bandits.
