For my newest map I need to add fog or dust or whatever on the lowest level.

Not with doodads but like in Slag Pits, over the whole area so that you can't even see the bottom anymore.

There must be an option to control those fog settings, but I can't find it.

I'd be glad if you could help. :)

This is natural for every map, you just need to lower the cliffs to as low as you want. The lower you get the more the fog becomes. You can either terrain brush the entire map with lower/same level cliff or go to the options of the Editor where you see File, Edit, Tools etc, so go to Data > Modify Height Field and choose some lower value, the lower you get, the thicker the fog. Set it to like 0 or -2 -3

Or he could just go to {Data -> Terrain Texture Sets -> texture set the map curently uses} and then modify the various fields that are responsible for terrain fog generation.

Setting fog density to 1 will make the whole map look like a pea soup (a term for describing bad fog) for example.

By setting it lower now I have another problem.
All the Doodads and stuff that I've placed still floats up in the air, also the camera seems to have stayed there, everything seems tiny.
How can I avoid this or replace all doodads at once? :/

I know, I had the same case - select all doodads hit enter and change their height until they appear on the ground - this is in case all doodads you placed were at the same height. If they were at different heights, you would need to select manually again which ones you need higher than the others.

You could just return it all back to the previous height if you don't want the change but this is the only way you would get this fog, so you'd better adjust the doodad height

Basically it is like that: If your Doodads were at height 0 and you lowered the cliff making the cliff -10, just decrease the height of the doodads select all and hit 'Enter' by 10.. (by the same height by which you decreased the level). Cameras: Well I am no expert at the FoV, Angle of Attack and other stats of the Camera but you could Set to Current View just see what position you want the camera to be

Setting fog density to 1 will make the whole map look like a pea soup (a term for describing bad fog) for example.

Im sure he meant the fog that is seen on all maps as a background but yes he could try that too.

Have you tried messing with the terrain fog settings in the data editor as I described above?
